LED floor projector: safety signs drawn in light
An industrial LED floor projector puts the warning where people actually look: on the floor in front of them. Crossings, STOP signs and forklift-zone warnings with no paint to wear away, which can switch on only when a hazard is near.
Light & floor projection
Painted signs fade under forklift tyres and disappear under dust. An LED floor projector draws the sign in light instead, so it stays sharp on worn or dirty floors and catches the eye because it is bright and, when you want it to be, blinking.
The projectors are designed for industrial spaces with dust and humidity, at temperatures from −30 °C to +40 °C. They use active or passive cooling and project ISO pictograms or your own custom symbols.
A projector can run continuously, blink, or switch on smartly when a sensor detects a forklift or a pedestrian. That way the sign draws attention at the moment it is needed.

How the LED floor projector works
Mount
The projector is fixed to a beam, column or ceiling above the hazard point. The lens, from 8° to 40°, is chosen to suit the mounting height and the size of the sign.
Detect
Optional motion, pedestrian or forklift detection triggers the projector, so the sign appears as someone approaches.
Warn
The pictogram is projected steadily, blinking or pulsing, whichever draws attention best at that spot.
Run
Leave it on 24/7 for permanent markings, or let detection control it for dynamic warnings.

What changes on your floor
-
No wear, no repainting
Light does not scrape off under wheels or pallets, so traffic cannot wear the marking away.
-
Visible on dirty floors
Projection stays readable on dusty or stained concrete, where paint and tape lose their contrast.
-
Attention at the point of risk
A bright, blinking sign in the walking line is harder to ignore than a faded symbol people pass every day.
-
Dynamic when you need it
Linked to detection, the warning appears only when a forklift or pedestrian is near, which keeps it meaningful.
-
Layouts that can change
Swap the pictogram or move the projector when your layout changes. No grinding, no curing time.
-
Understood without words
ISO pictograms work for multilingual teams, temporary staff and visitors alike.

Where floor projection is used
Pedestrian crossings
Projected zebra crossings on forklift routes, in aisles and at doorways.
Blind exits and doors
A STOP sign on the floor where pedestrians step out into vehicle traffic.
Rack ends and intersections
Forklift warning triangles where drivers and pedestrians cannot see each other.
Loading docks
Zone borders and warnings where trucks, forklifts and people share the same space.
Crane load zones
A clearly marked exclusion area under suspended loads.
Painted marking vs LED floor projection
| — | Painted lines and signs | LED floor projection |
|---|---|---|
| Wear | Wears under traffic and needs repainting | Nothing to wear: the sign is light |
| Dirty floors | Hard to see under dust or spills | Remains visible |
| Attention | Static; people stop noticing it | Bright, and can blink or pulse |
| Activation | Always there, needed or not | Can switch on only when a vehicle or person approaches |
| Layout changes | Grind off and repaint | Change the pictogram or reposition the projector |

Frequently asked questions
Are LED floor projections visible in a bright warehouse?
Visibility depends on ambient light, floor colour and mounting height, which is why we measure these on site before proposing a lens and model. Before you receive a quote, we show you a video simulation of the projection in your own facility, so you can judge the result yourself.
Can the projector work in cold stores or dusty areas?
The projectors are rated from −30 °C to +40 °C, with active or passive cooling, and are designed for dusty and humid environments. If any part of your site falls outside that range, we will tell you during the survey.
Will a projected sign distract forklift drivers?
The aim is the opposite: one clear sign at the exact point of risk, instead of a cluttered wall of notices. Where a permanent projection might lose its effect, detection-activated mode shows the sign only when someone approaches.
Do we need to stop operations for installation?
The installation schedule is agreed with you before work starts, so access times can fit around your shifts. Our technicians are certified for work at height and follow your site rules and full PPE requirements.
Can you project our own symbol?
Yes. Alongside the standard ISO pictograms, custom pictograms can be produced, for example a site-specific crossing design or a warning in your own wording.
How much does an LED floor projector cost?
It depends on the number of points, mounting heights, pictograms and whether detection is added. After a free site survey you receive a detailed quote with technical specifications and an implementation schedule.
