Smart convex mirror that shows who is coming

A convex mirror that does not wait for you to look at it. It senses approaching vehicles, shows in light which direction they are coming from and warns pedestrians on the floor with a built-in LED projector.

Light & floor projection

A classic convex mirror only helps when someone remembers to look at it.

The smart convex mirror adds detection. It senses approaching vehicles and warns pedestrians using the LED projector built into the device.

The system recognises the direction the vehicle is coming from and switches on the matching LED indicators and the LED projector.

It is the ideal solution for crossings with poor visibility, where a plain convex mirror is not enough.

How the smart convex mirror works

  1. Detect

Sensors register a vehicle approaching the corner.

  2. Show the direction

LED lights on the rim switch on towards the side the vehicle is coming from, so the warning is visible at a glance.

  3. LED projector

The built-in projector warns pedestrians on the floor that forklifts are crossing.

Why upgrade from a standard warehouse mirror

  • Active, not passive

The mirror draws attention to itself when something is coming, instead of waiting to be checked.

  • Direction at a glance

Lights on the rim show where the risk is approaching from, before the image in the mirror is fully read.

  • Made for blind corners

It works exactly where drivers and pedestrians cannot see each other.

  • A format everyone knows

Drivers and pedestrians already use convex mirrors. The lights simply make the mirror harder to miss.

Where smart mirrors are installed

  • Blind warehouse corners

Junctions where racking hides oncoming forklifts.

  • Rack-end intersections

Aisle ends where pedestrians step out between racks.

  • Dock and door exits

Openings where vehicles leave a building into a shared area.

  • Production to warehouse transitions

Points where foot traffic from production meets material handling.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a convex mirror and a smart mirror?

A convex safety mirror widens the field of view but stays passive. A smart convex mirror also senses approaching vehicles and warns actively with light, showing the direction they are coming from, so the warning reaches people who are not looking at the mirror.

How is the pedestrian warned?

The LED projector is built into the device. When a forklift approaches, it projects the warning onto the floor in front of the pedestrian.

Can we replace an existing mirror at the same spot?

Usually the same location is a good starting point, since it already marks a known blind spot. During the survey we check the mounting, the viewing angles and the floor area in front of pedestrians where the warning will be projected.

What does a smart mirror cost?

It depends on the number of corners, the mounting and the power supply at each point. The site survey is free, and the quote that follows includes specifications and a schedule.
